A single hydrated pumpkin stem triggers a downward piston. Two hoppers collect drops through mud and farmland into a chest.
An original small adaptation of the observer-and-piston pumpkin farming principle, not a block-for-block reproduction of a tutorial. Only the mud cell east of the stem can grow fruit; glass and a sea lantern block the other directions. A downward-facing observer watches the stem, so the piston never enters its observed cell. The observer powers a solid block above it; dust crosses to a second solid block above the downward piston. Harvested drops stay inside the sealed two-cell chamber and are collected through the partial-height mud or farmland. This trades low output for a simple stationary collection system. The complete adaptation has not been tested in game.
