Turtle-Egg Nether Gold Farm in Minecraft

Place the seven east-facing hoppers at x=2..8, z=8, y=0 into the chest at (9, 0, 8). Build the bottom-slab access platform.

💡 All coordinates are zero-based. Use a Nether Wastes site below the bedrock roof in both editions, outside a fortress. Reserve 32 vertical blocks for the full model. Excavation, travel routes and terrain spawn-proofing depend on the site and are not included in the fixed inventory. Keep the block directly above the chest empty.

Build the shaft walls around x=2..8, z=8 from y=1 through y=25, leaving its seven interior columns completely empty.

💡 North and south walls occupy z=7 and z=9. End walls occupy x=1 and x=9. Leave (9, 1, 8) empty above the chest. Do not place ledges, vines, ladders or fluids inside the drop; the upper trapdoor lip must lead directly to the bottom hoppers.

Place the 35 magma blocks at x=2..8, z=3..7, y=26 and seven stone blocks at x=2..8, z=9, y=26.

💡 The open trench is x=2..8, z=8. Every magma position is at most nine blocks from the egg by horizontal Manhattan distance, within even Bedrock's smaller egg-search range. Magma can damage the builder: sneak while working or use temporary safe access.

Build the wall ring at x=1, x=9, z=2 and z=10 from y=26 through y=29.

💡 The walls keep naturally spawned mobs on the pad. Use nonflammable solid blocks as shown. Build under temporary lighting, then remove it before operation; the magma pad must stay at block light 11 or lower.

Place seven open top-half trapdoors in the trench at y=26, hinged against the north pad. Slab the bait shelf except its middle block.

💡 Trapdoors occupy x=2..8, z=8 and must stand vertically against the z=7 pad edge. Leave (5, 27, 9) for the egg. The six bottom slabs at y=27 prevent additional shelf spawns. Remove all temporary bridges after construction.

Place one turtle egg at (5, 27, 9) on the stone shelf. Keep (5, 28, 9) and (5, 29, 9) entirely air.

💡 Collect an egg with Silk Touch or obtain one from breeding turtles. Do not substitute sand below it: eggs hatch only on sand or red sand. The mobGriefing game rule must be true for the attraction goal. Never walk or fall onto the egg.

Roof z=2..8 at y=29 and z=9..10 at y=30; cover each roof section with the shown bottom slabs.

💡 The main pad has exactly two clear blocks above its surface. The bait roof is one block higher to preserve two air blocks above the egg. Bottom slabs exclude roof spawns. Remove temporary light and scaffolding. The displayed zombified piglin is a natural-spawn example; none must be captured.
