Eight egg layers feed a comparator clock and a separate chick chamber. Adults touch a lava blade, while a stationary hopper minecart collects cooked chicken beneath the slab.
The upper hopper sends eggs into an east-facing dispenser. A subtract-mode comparator reads that dispenser, and two repeaters amplify and return its output to the side input, creating pulses while eggs remain. A separate repeater powers a solid block beside the dispenser. Chicks hatch onto a bottom slab above a hopper minecart. Their shorter bodies remain below the lava; growing adults intersect it and drop cooked chicken. The cart extracts drops through the slab and a lower hopper empties it into the chest. The egg parents remain in an isolated, enclosed upper pocket. This is an original arrangement of documented mechanisms, not an ingame-tested tutorial.
