Lava Funnel Blaze XP Farm in Minecraft

Keep the found blaze spawner at (5, 12, 5). Excavate x=1..9, z=1..9 from y=5 through y=14.

💡 All coordinates are zero-based and relative to the found spawner. Never break it; spawners cannot be collected in survival. Temporarily suppress spawning with light level at least 12 throughout the spawn volume. One reproducible temporary pattern uses glowstone at every x,z pair in {1,3,5,7,9} at y=12, except the spawner cell; place the 25th block above the spawner at (5, 13, 5). Remove this temporary grid only after sealing the room. Fire Resistance, armor and fortress access preparations are recommended before excavation.

Build the small platform at x=7..11, z=8..12, y=0, and wall rings at x=8..10, z=8..10, y=1..3.

💡 Put south-facing hoppers at (9, 0, 9) and (9, 0, 10), feeding the chest at (9, 0, 11). Leave the cell center empty above its hopper. Leave (9, 1, 10) for the later attack slab, while keeping its wall block at y=2. Build a closed back and both side walls.

Lay the main floor at x=1..9, z=1..8, y=4, and the lower trench floor at x=1..8, z=9, y=3.

💡 Leave (9, 3, 9) and the space above it empty for the drop. The trench is one block lower than the upper tray, so its west-to-east lava flow can carry blazes toward the dry gate.

Build perimeter walls at x=0, x=10, z=0 and z=10 from y=4 through y=14. Leave the top open for now so you can check the inside; the next step closes it.

💡 Close every side opening so blazes cannot escape or see the player from above. The lava layer will be y=5, seven blocks below the spawner; do not raise it. This leaves its light below blaze-blocking levels at the intended y=11..13 spawn volume. Remove stray fortress shelves inside the chamber.

Place dry warped wall signs at (9, 4, 9) and (9, 5, 9), the upper attack slab at (9, 1, 10), and a bottom slab above the spawner.

💡 Both signs face west and attach to the wall at x=10; warped signs do not burn. Keep the shaft dry. The upper slab leaves only a low gap: sword hits reach the lower blaze body while its eye stays behind the solid upper wall. Never remove that wall or stand against the slit.

Place nine lava sources at x=1..9, y=5, z=1. Add a tenth source at (1, 4, 9).

💡 Use this in the Nether, where lava can travel seven horizontal blocks. The upper flow ends at z=8 and pushes blazes over the edge into the z=9 trench; its lower stream runs east through x=8 toward the signs. Place all ten source buckets separately: Nether lava is not an infinite-source fluid. Verify that no lava gets into the drop shaft or onto the collection hoppers. Warped signs must remain in place before adding lava.

Add the solid roof at y=15, then cover it with bottom slabs at y=16.

💡 Cover the roof with bottom slabs at y=16 to prevent outside spawns. Seal every gap so blazes cannot see the player from above.

Remove the temporary glowstone grid, replace the spawner cap and reseal your final access opening. Wait at the lower station.

💡 Use Easy, Normal or Hard. The displayed blaze is naturally generated, not transported or collected. Watch one complete wave: blazes should descend without seeing the player, enter the lava and reach the dry cell. They can hover or rise if they acquire an eye-level target. Correct leaks, exposed sightlines or trapped mobs before leaving the sealed station.
